John Lightstone is President of Lightstone Capital Management LLC (“LCM”), which develops and runs quantitative investment strategies for certain Van Kampen unit trusts. These strategies seek to take advantage of persistent market inefficiencies across all equity styles and are what LCM believes to be well suited to a unit trust structure. John is also Adjunct Professor of Finance at Pace University, Lubin School of Business, White Plains, NY. He teaches investment analysis and advanced topics in financial management. His areas of research include market inefficiencies, investment strategies, the relationship between returns and earnings surprises, and the effect of socially responsible guidelines on investment performance. Dr. Lightstone has a B.A. in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, a Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Physics from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Finance from New York University.
